Material Evolution is the future of materials.  Their mission is to build the world’s most sustainable materials company, creating materials that are carbon negative, require no virgin materials and are superior in terms of mechanical properties. They are doing this by using data, waste and science to create the next generation of materials.  They are scientists and engineers with a passion for green materials and shared vision to re-write the story of waste and materials.   The team partners with industry leaders to implement their technology at scale and they are looking for leaders in their fields who are passionate about the future of materials.

As part of a team designing the materials of the future your job will be to work on the experimental approach to produce the world’s most sustainable cements. This will involve working with the lab team but also collaborating with the software development and manufacturing teams to develop and deploy materials at scale. You will primarily be conducting laboratory experiments to confirm feasibility of materials but will also assist with researching the structures and properties of materials from the steel industry and their use in cement.

Applicants should ideally have a degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or a related field coupled with experience of working in a lab to conduct experimental research.  You must be positive and self-driven with the desire to challenge yourself by learning new skills and technologies.

If you like challenging problems, multi-disciplinary collaboration and building teams, Material Evolution want you to join their team.  This post is initially an 18 month contract with the strong possibility of Perm Employment.
